Ceredigion Association of National Trust Members (CANTM)
Cymdeithas Aelodau’r Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol yng Ngheredigion.

The National Trust’s Associations have existed for more than 50 years to support the work of the National Trust and to make membership of the charity more enjoyable. There are now over 196 such groups in Wales, England and Northern Ireland, and in Belgium and Germany.

Ceredigion Association was founded in 1991 and has since then raised over £40,000 which has been donated to Llanerchaeron and to other National Trust countryside and coastline projects in Ceredigion.

We have an interesting programme of talks, outings and other events and new members are always welcome.

Mae Cymdeithasau’r Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol yn bodoli ers dros 50 mlynedd, er mwyn cefnogi gwaith yr Ymddiriedolaeth ac ychwanegu at fwynhad yr aelodau. Erbyn hyn mae dros 196 o grwpiau fel hyn yng Nghymru, Lloegr a Gogledd Iwerddon, ac hefyd yng ngwlad Belg a’r Almaen.

Sefydlwyd Cymdeithas Ceredigion yn 1991 ac ers hynny mae wedi codi dros £40,000 i’w drosglwyddo i Lanerchaeron a phrosiectau cefn gwlad ac arfordirol eraill yr Ymddiriedolaeth yng Ngheredigion.

Mae gennym raglen ddiddorol o sgyrsiau, ymweliadau a digwyddiadau eraill, a chroeso bob amser i aelodau newydd.

Ceredigion

Ceredigion is a rural idyll with areas where time has almost stood still. It stretches from the Dyfi Estuary in the north to the Teifi Estuary in the south with its west side bordered by a beautiful coastline forming part of Cardigan Bay.

Mae Ceredigion yn hafan wledig gyda mannau lle mae amser bron wedi aros yn ei unfan. Mae’n ymestyn o foryd Dyfi yn y Gogledd i foryd Teifi yn y De a rhimyn o arfordir hardd ar yr ochr orllewinol yn ffurfio rhan o Fae Ceredigion.

Llanerchaeron

Llanerchaeron is the only House open to visitors in Ceredigion and is one of the few houses remaining in Wales designed by the famous architect John Nash. This elegant and classical building typical of his style is a marvel to behold.

More than just another period house, Llanerchaeron –

  • Has been lovingly restored for the future.
  • It is a perfect example of a small landed estate with much still intact.
  • The home, farm and its buildings show how a wealthy landowner and his servants would have lived a self-sufficient lifestyle over the last few centuries
  • Some highlights include the dairy, brewery, laundry, stables and billiards room.
  • There is a beautiful walled garden to explore.
  • woodland walks and the farm animals are guaranteed to raise a smile.

Llanerchaeron yw’r unig dŷ o eiddo’r Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol yng Ngheredigion sydd ar agor i’r cyhoedd. Mae’n un o’r ychydig dai sydd ar ôl yng Nghymru a gynlluniwyd gan y pensaer enwog John Nash. Mae’r adeilad cain, clasurol hwn yn nodweddiadol o’i arddull ac yn wledd i’r llygad.

Nid enghraifft arall o dŷ o’r cyfnod yn unig yw Llanerchaeron –

  • mae’n cynnig llawer mwy.
  • Fe’i adferwyd â gofal er mwyn ei ddiogelu at y dyfodol.
  • Mae’n enghraifft berffaith o stad fach diriog, gyda llawer ohoni wedi goroesi yn gyfan.
  • Mae’r tŷ, y fferm a’r adeiladau yn dangos sut roedd tirfeddiannwr cyfoethog a’i weision yn byw eu bywydau hunan-gynhaliol dros gyfnod o ganrifoedd.
  • Rhai o’r uchafbwyntiau yw’r llaethdy, bragdy, golchdy, stablau, a’r ystafell billiards.
  • Gallwch grwydro trwy’r ardd furiog a dilyn y llwybrau trwy’r coed, a bydd yr anifeiliaid fferm yn siŵr o godi gwên.

The National Trust in Ceredigion
Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol yng Ngheredigion

Vast areas of the coast including parts of the Ceredigion Coastal Path are owned by the National Trust. Who cannot but be impressed by the rugged beauty of Ynys Lochtyn, the golden sands of Penbryn – featured in a James Bond film – or the beauty of Mwnt with its secluded bay and delightful Mediaeval church complete with a ‘leper’s window.’

This area of Ceredigion is often teeming with wildlife, from here it is possible to see dolphins, seals and porpoises in the clear waters of Cardigan Bay or watch the sea birds, especially the acrobatic aerial displays of the choughs.

Mae rhannau helaeth o’r arfordir, gan gynnwys peth o Lwybr Arfordirol Ceredigion yn eiddo i’r Ymddiriedolaeth Genedlaethol. Pwy na all ryfeddu at brydferthwch ysgithrog ynys Lochtyn, tywod aur traeth Penbryn – a welwyd yn un o ffilmiau James Bond – neu swyn Mwnt, gyda’i fae cysgodol a’r eglwys ganoloesol hyfryd â’i ffenest i’r gwahanglwyfus.

Mae’r ardal yma o Geredigion yn aml yn dryfrith o fywyd gwyllt. Gellir gweld, oddi yma, ddolffiniaid, morloi a llamidyddion ym nŵr clir Bae Ceredigion neu wylio’r adar môr, yn enwedig gampau ehedog acrobataidd y brain coesgoch.
